Boards for Babies Event Recap

Since January, I’ve been a part of the @TheKCInfluence Mastermind Group. So for the past several weeks, it’s like I’ve had a life coach, business coach & a personal networking group. AKA the best thing I’ve signed myself up for in a while. The girls are the absolute best, and I’m already sad about our time being almost over.

Part of our course work was to plan, and execute an event. We were divided into teams, and set off to get to work. I had the best team members-Heather & Jess. Planning this event felt like we were organizing the most outrageous birthday party. I was definitely stretched beyond my comfort zone, but also had the best dang time.

Early on, we decided that we wanted our event to have a charity that could benefit from our generous community. And we also wanted to have an activity that our guests would enjoy. Charcuterie Boards are such a hot item these days; and I’ve personally been dying to learn from a professional. When we came in contact with Marcella from The Board Babe, the idea for Boards for Babies was born. Happy Bottoms was such a natural fit, and we were thrilled for them to be the recipient.

None of this would have been possible without our generous sponsors: Green Acres Market, Cinder Block Brewery, @JanelleNorthwayPhotography, @Serendiparty_ & @midwestcookieco.

And a big shout out to my girlfriends. My tribe is the best. XO
